NSIC has already set up more than 95 NSIC-TICs under Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode in the country. Kudatech Skill Centre is privileged to have been selected as one such.

Certified Graphic Designer cum DTP Operator(Course code: ST103B)

Overview:  The objective of the course is to provide the participants understanding of the techniques essential to build their career in desktop publishing using suitable hardware and software tools. This course offers a range of topics of immediate relevance to industry and makes the participants exactly suitable for DTP Industry.

 Brief Job description:  A Desktop Publishing operator utilizes desktop publishing tools, equipments and software packages to create and produce a variety of high quality communication materials that incorporate text and graphic images. Design page layouts for newspapers, books, brochures, and other items that are printed or published online. Desktop publishers often work with other design, media, or marketing workers, including writers, editors, and graphic designers.

Personal Attributes: A Desktop Publishing operator should be able to read and interpret technical parameters/ documentation, plan and organize work processes, identify necessary materials and tools. Perform task with due consideration to safety rules, accident prevention regulations and environmental protection stipulations. Apply professional knowledge & employability skills while performing the job and modification & maintenance work. Certified Assistant Electrician(Course Code: ST202B)

Overview: This job role installs temporary lighting arrangement necessary for construction activities and carries out basic electrical wiring installations (LV) at temporary/permanent structures.

Brief Job Description: Assistant Electrician will be assisting electrician or superior in electrical work for the installation, repair, and maintenance of temporary LV electrical connections at the construction sites and permanent connections at residential and commercial buildings. The individual will be engaged in laying conduits for LV single phase wiring with appropriate selection and use of hand and power tools efficiently.

Personal Attributes: The job holder is expected to be physically fit and should be able to work across various locations in withstanding extreme conditions while working at the site; well versed with tasks and functions of basic electrical work. The person must be able to work within a team, handle the various tools and materials related to electrical work safely, consciously and take responsibility for own work.

Training Outcomes:

After completing this programme, participants will be able to:

  1. Select and use hand, power tools and electrical devices relevant to construction electrical works: – Recognising, differentiating and using electrical tools and devices appropriately in basic electrical operations
  2. Install temporary lighting arrangement at construction sites: – Selection and use of light units, accessories, fixtures and tools for installing and maintaining lighting arrangements used for construction work

Certified Carpenter-Wooden-Furniture (Course Code: ST217)

Overview: Carpentry for furniture making is a skilled trade in which the primary work performed is the cutting, shaping and installation of different components together to make the final product.

Brief Job Description: Furniture Maker is responsible for designing, building and repairing fixtures, furniture, and other items using different types of wood. He/she is required to study the technical drawings, measure, cut and shape wood, plywood or other material.

Personal Attributes: A Furniture Maker should have knowledge of different types of furniture and its installation along with knowledge of structure of furniture, dimension conversion and conversion of drawings to furniture. He/ she is required to be flexible in terms of adapting their style of work to different types of furniture design and the type of furniture He/she should have good mathematical skills and have accuracy in measurement along with having good hand-eye coordination.

Training Outcomes:

After completing this programme, participants will be able to:

  1. The Carpenter Wooden Furniture will gain understanding of his Job Role: General introduction to the job role, importance of the carpenter with respect to the furniture industry, potential and prospects of carpenter in the industry

  5. Gain understanding to carry out assembling of different parts of the furniture: Joining the cut and trimmed wooden parts as per the given lay out, right use of adhesives, fixtures etc. for making the final product

Overview: This course aims at making the students introduced to the working of electronic products used in daily life and to the repair and maintenance of these products, understand key elements of electrical and electronics appliances. Understand domestic wiring and layout Basic safety practices.

Brief Job Description: This course is meant for the candidates who aspire to become a Technician to repair different Domestic electronics appliances. Repair maintenance& installation of electronics equipments like Washing Machine, microwave oven, steam iron, electric rice cooker etc.

Personal Attributes: A repairman should have knowledge of basic facts, process and principle applied in the trade of employment recall and demonstrate practical skill, routine and repetitive in narrow range of application. He should have basic knowledge of communication written and oral, with minimum required clarity, skill to basic Arithmetic and algebraic principles, personal banking, basic understanding of social and natural environment and ability to work under close supervision.

Training Outcomes:

After completing this programme, participants will be able to:

  • Ensure occupational Health & Safety: To ensure occupational health & safety in home appliances repair work, in accordance with the organization’s approved guidelines and procedures

  •  Perform Basic Installation of Home Appliances: To initiate home appliances installation work manual according to the manual, and perform a test run, in-home appliances repair work, in accordance with the organization’s approved guidelines and procedures.

  •  Perform Repairing of Home Appliance: To initiate repairing work on home appliances, in accordance with the organization’s approved guidelines and procedures. He will be able to perform, test runs, dismantle appliances, diagnose faults, repair washing machines, microwaves, electrical iron, vacuum cleaner, fans, emergency light, toasters, kitchen appliances, and assemble appliances for the job.

  •  Perform Replacement Components of Home Appliances: To initiate repairing work on home appliances, in accordance with the organization’s approved guidelines and procedures. He will be able to perform, identify faulty components, and replace electrical, mechanical components, and modules.

  •  Perform Preventive Maintenance: To initiate use installation of home appliance preventive maintenance work, in accordance with the organization’s approved guidelines and procedures. He will be able to perform, install appliances, inspect the equipment, clean equipment, lubricant mechanical parts, align equipment, ensure parts life cycle, and demonstrate equipment to the job
